Amala expands programmes in Asia through new partnership with Rohingya Youth Union

Amala and Rohingya Youth Union (RYU) have partnered to bring Social Entrepreneurship and Peacebuilding courses to Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh - expanding Amala’s work in Asia. RYU is a youth-led, grassroots organisation which focuses on developing leadership skills in young people and promoting sustainable development.

Cox’s Bazar is the largest refugee settlement in the world, home to over a million Rohingya refugees from Myanmar, who were forced to leave everything behind and flee persecution in 2017. Many Rohingya people are living in statelessness, denied mobility and educational opportunities, making this partnership and learning programme all the more vital.
